Local housing developments

Exhall Road / Bennetts Road

Many people will be aware of the Zest development from Barratt Homes currently being built on the Exhall road which will eventually link to Bennetts Road. A plan of this development can be seen here.

Thompson's Road / Bennetts Road

A small development of 36 new dwellings is being proposed by the Cassidy Group off Thompson's Road and Bennetts Road on land currently owned by the Coventry Colliery & Keresley Sports & Social Club. This development is completely unrelated to the proposed eco-village in the core strategy.

The money raised from the sale of the land would allow repairs and refurbishment to the club building plus the installation of floodlights and other amenites in the grounds.

Discussion of these proposals, prior to a public consultation, took place at the Parish Council meeting held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 3rd November at the United Reform Church in Bennetts Road. The next stage of the process will be for consultation to take place with local residents. The Cassidy Group are hoping for this consultation to start before Christmas.
